Some more figures

Average weekly k's for my base building period:
14 weeks - 112.4k/week
10 weeks - 121.2k/week
7 weeks - 129.3k/week
5 weeks - 123.6k/week
3 weeks - 131.7k/week

So there it is, 10 weeks 1212k's so a good base to work from - time will tell if it's enough.

121 k's a week on average for 10 weeks is pretty good! 24hr race is a different ballgame to a lot of other races, its a truely extreme ultra! I suspect. Your experience with things like MundaBiddi 100k,Beach to Bluff, relay for life, Bibbulumn hikes, the Stirling Ranges ridgewalk, 6inch,40 miler,Bunbury, Perth and Rottnest will come to the fore, and you should deal with the new challenges well!... Just listen to your body, and respond to any injury issues, e.g blisters, and respond accordingly as you did to various niggles during the 100k...

Its probably about finding ways to keep going more than anything else, but you know that very well now...Don't forget the Maker!

All the best in Caboolture!
Make the most of the unique experience that is a 24hr race!
We look forward to hearing how it goes!
